Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise focuses on Kenshiro's story. He learns that his deceased father owned a shop that sells Reiki (an alternative healing technique using the energy of crystals), and decides to quit the job to pursue his dreams of being a master swordsman. However, he learns that the shop's real owner is Shinichi Kushihiro, who is trying to get his son moved from Japan into America to learn how to wield the sword. Kenshiro's father is now returning to Japan to teach Shinichi swordsmanship.

The first part of the story begins with Kenshiro's friend Ritsu, who is also looking for a master like Shinichi. Kenshiro meets new friends while at a martial art training school. They include Maki Shuba (Yoruichi Shihoin), Yumiitsu and Hitoba Arrogato (Hitoba Eiji), and Genryuji SW Shinra (Genryuji Sw Shinra). These are all girls who have a fighting career but don't realize it. So they team up to form Tancho, Kenshiro, Ritsu. The four of them begin learning moves from each others, but they are dismayed when they discover they are not as proficient as their instructors. Meanwhile, Ritsu suffers from an injury that forces him to withdraw from martial arts training. Tancho enters a tournament for martial arts to win back Maki. He is quickly defeated by Tancho.

In the second storyline, we find out what happens after Tancho leaves. They decide that they need to get stronger if they ever want to be able to take on the Bakugan monsters that regularly attack the town. They then form a squad with Hitoba Keiichiro and Rihoko who are also strong. The four of them form the Nodame Clan, which protects Earth.

The third storyline is about how the foursome of them save the Earth from the Bakugan. After learning that the Bakugan was responsible to the destruction of the Earth, the group formed the Nodame’s Clens and formed a force in order to protect the planet. Tancho and the others then join forces with the legendary thief, Shinichi Kuzuryu, to form the Nodame ninja clan and continue to protect the Earth. Tancho, Kenshiro (Yoruichi), Maki, and Tancho are still searching for clues to help them locate the Bakugan.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise wouldn't have been as good without Shusui the "trickster". His presence is a minor nuisance and makes things more difficult for readers (although I think he was always intended to be there). Apart from this minor complaint I thought the story was very well told. Fist Of The North Star: Lost Paradise tells a lot more than meets your eye. I recommend this movie to everyone.
